Timeline for year 7 admission in September 2020 (SUSPENDED DUE TO SCHOOL CLOSURE)
Monday 16th March 2020
Parents and carers must tell Bristol City Council if they wish to accept the place offered.
Monday 27th April 2020
Bristol City Council will tell St Bernadette’s which offers have been accepted for the school.
16th March to 27th April 2020
Details of late applications, on time applicants still waiting for places at their preferred school and applications that have been withdrawn are exchanged between other Local Authorities and schools in preparation for the second round of offers.
Beginning of May 2020
An information pack will be sent to parents who have accepted the place they have been offered at St Bernadette’s. Parents who applied after 31st October will be informed of the outcome of their application.
End of May/beginning of June
A representative from St Bernadette’s will visit pupils from all Catholic primary schools and some
Non-Catholic primary schools.
Tuesday 2nd June 2020
Parents and pupils are invited to the school library between 3.30pm and 5.30pm in order that pupils can try on school uniform before placing their order. Orders must be placed by 26th June.
25th and 26th June 2020
Appeals for on time applications made by 31st October 2019 will be heard. Appeals for late applications will be heard on 25th/26th June where possible or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
Thursday 2nd July 2020
Year 6 pupils are invited to join us between 9.15am and 2.15pm for our Transition Day.
Thursday 9th July 2020
Parents and pupils are invited to join us at 7.00pm for the New Intake Evening. Tutor group information will be available. Uniform orders can be collected from school this evening.
Wednesday 2nd September 2020
Pupils first day at St Bernadette’s. (Tuesday 1st September is an INSET day.)
