Pathways

During term 4, our Year 9 students will make their option choices for the subjects they will be studying for their GCSEs. This process is called Pathways.

This section of the website is produced to help students and parents choose from the options subjects available, as well as giving information about the core subjects, such as Mathematics, English and Religious Studies.

With regard to options, it is important that each student’s curriculum be well balanced as future plans can change and it is imperative to keep the range of choices for later life open. However, in Years 10 and 11 it is appropriate to begin to specialise in some subjects that match interest and ability, and possible future career and educational aspirations.

Over the next few weeks, students will need to think carefully about the options subjects they would like to choose to study in Years 10 and 11. The below video explains the pathways process and key features.

• Thursday 7th March- Year 9 Subject Parents Evening
• Friday 8th March- Pathways Form Opens
• Wednesday 20th March- Pathways Form Closes

Please use the link below to complete your GCSE Pathways options. Please be aware that you will need to login with your student "@stberns.bristol.sch.uk" school email account. No other accounts will be able to access the form.
