Our Year 7 students have been invited to join a Readathon for the charity Read For Good.

This is a charity that provides new books for children in hospital and even reading ambassadors to read with or to them. The charity really helps to light up the day of children in hospitals and we are really hoping that our Year 7 students will support the charity.

Pupils are being asked to record how many minutes they are reading each day and to try to beat their personal target and contribute to the school’s overall target. But they are also asked to try to gain some sponsorship to take part in the readathon.

This does not have to be very much - the charity are very keen that pupils engage in the readathon first and foremost to challenge themselves to read, or listen, to more pages of their books. However, any sponsorship donations would be gratefully received by the charity and the children they support.
