KS3 Music
Curriculum Overview
The Key Stage 3 Music curriculum equips students with the various skills and knowledge to fulfil a wider role in society whilst providing students with the key music knowledge that underpins further study in the subject.
Students acquire knowledge from a diverse range of topics, these topics were decided as they covered the three main skill areas needed. Each of these modules comprises of a different set of core skills which together will equip students to be enquiring learners.
How will I be assessed?
Every term, pupils will have a formal assessment based upon the topic that they have been studying. This will be assessed using the St Bernadette Music assessment criteria. Throughout the year, in every lesson, there will be a mixture of teacher, peer, and self assessment.
