OCR Creative iMedia
Curriculum Overview
Creative iMedia embeds an expectation of excellence across students’ learning by inspiring students in the development of vocational creative media skills, and providing learners with essential knowledge and transferable skills and tools to improve their learning in other subjects.
Creative iMedia enhances the employability of students when they leave education, contributing to their personal development and future economic well-being. The qualification will encourage scholarly independence, ambition, enquiry and creativity and awareness of the digital media sector.
How will I be assessed?
You will study 2 mandatory units and choose 1 optional unit. The two mandatory units are:
- Unit R093: Creative iMedia in the media industry. This is assessed by taking an exam at the end of Year 11.
- Unit R094: Visual identity and digital graphics. This is assessed by completing a set assignment.
The optional unit you will study is:
- Unit R097: Interactive digital media. This is assessed by completing a set assignment.
