KS3 computing will challenge and inspire students to develop a natural curiosity of the technological world around them. The KS3 curriculum has been designed to offer the students a broad and balanced approach to ICT and Computing, while meeting the national curriculum of study set out by the DFE.
Each year, students will build upon the previous year with deepening understanding of key principles and skills taught, including computer science, ICT and online safety. Students will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to undertake further study or work in the fields of ICT and Computing.
How will I be assessed?
Every term pupils will have an assessment based upon the topic studied. This will be assessed using the St Bernadette computing assessment criteria. Practical, theory or peer assessments are used. For more information, please read the Curriculum Rationale document.
