St Bernadette Catholic Secondary School is an 11-16 Catholic comprehensive school in the south of the city of Bristol and the Diocese of Clifton. Pupils came from six partner Catholic primary schools, as well as other primary schools in the area.
At our school the words 'learning' and 'community' are at the heart of all we do. We are proud to be a learning community and a faith community, founded on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Record breaking Examination results!
Students and staff at St Bernadette Catholic Secondary School in Whitchurch, Bristol, are celebrating record breaking exam results. More than 76% of pupils gained 5 A*-C passes and 60% gained 5 A*-C passes, including English and Maths. 43% of pupils achieved at least one A*/A pass with many gaining multiple top grades. Amongst a great set of results for students of all abilities there were a number of exceptional performances. Conor McGillan achieved 11 A* passes, one in every subject he took. Melody Cummins achieved five A* and 6 A passes, Kasia Mieszczak, who started at the school speaking very little English, achieved 12 A*-B passes, including A* in English literature and A in English. Head teacher, Mrs McLaughlin, expressed her pleasure and pride for the students achievements:
"We are delighted with these results. Our pupils and staff have worked very hard and it is wonderful that they have done so well. Pupils of all abilities have been successful, fulfilling their potential and gaining a range of qualifications. It is wonderful to share in their joy, knowing they can confidently progress to the next stage of their life."
